I Am in Love with My Class Teacher

I AM IN LOVE WITH MY CLASS TEACHER (Episode 2) Weeks passed, and James tried his best to move on. He buried himself in schoolwork, spent more time playing football, and even forced himself to laugh at jokes that weren’t funny. But I knew the truth. I could see it in his eyes—he was still hurting. One afternoon, while we were sitting under a tree behind the school, he sighed deeply. “I see her every day, and it still hurts,” he admitted. “She acts normal, like nothing ever happened. But for me… it’s different. Every time she speaks, I remember how much I wanted her to love me.” I didn’t know what to say. Love is not something you can just switch off. I wanted to tell him to forget her, but I knew it wasn’t that easy. That same day, something unexpected happened. Miss Evelyn made an announcement in class. “I have some news,” she said with a smile. “This will be my last term with you all. I’ll be getting married and moving to another city.” The whole class cheered and congratulated her. Everyone was happy. But James… he just sat there, frozen. After school, he didn’t wait for me. He walked home alone. When I caught up with him later, he was sitting at his desk, staring at a blank notebook. “She’s leaving,” he whispered. “She’s getting married.” I knew this was the final blow. It was bad enough that he loved her, but now she was marrying someone else. It was over, and there was no hope left. “James, you knew this would happen,” I said gently. “She was never ours to love.” He swallowed hard, nodding. But I could see the pain in his eyes. On Miss Evelyn’s last day, everyone brought gifts. Some gave flowers, some gave cards. James didn’t bring anything, but I knew he had written something. I had seen him the night before, tearing out pages and writing over and over again. When school ended, everyone rushed to say their final goodbyes. James stayed in his seat, silent. I nudged him. “Aren’t you going to say goodbye?” He shook his head. “She doesn’t need my goodbye. She’s happy, and that’s all that matters.” I didn’t argue. But just as she was about to leave, something unexpected happened. She walked toward James and placed a small wrapped book on his desk. “You are a wonderful student, James,” she said with a kind smile. “I hope you never stop writing. One day, your words will touch many hearts.” James looked at her, his lips slightly parted. It was as if he wanted to say something, but no words came out. She left, and that was it. He opened the book after she was gone. Inside, she had written a note. “Keep chasing your dreams. Love will find you when the time is right.” That night, James cried for the first time. Not because he was weak, but because he had to let go of the one thing his heart never wanted to lose. Days turned into weeks, and slowly, James changed. He still carried the book Miss Evelyn gave him, but he didn’t look as broken as before. He started writing more—stories, poems, letters he would never send. One day, while we sat under the same tree behind the school, he looked at me and smiled. “I think I understand now,” he said. “Love isn’t always about getting what you want. Sometimes, it’s about learning, growing, and knowing when to let go.” For the first time, I saw peace in his eyes. The pain was still there, but he was healing. And that was the moment I knew—James was going to be okay. Some love stories never get the happy ending we wish for. But sometimes, they teach us the most important lessons of all.
